(Eagle News) — A seven-year-old boy was killed in a fire that hit a residential and commercial area in Quezon City early Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Authorities said the boy was the son of Jacquelyn Laksi, who was the owner of one of the houses on Litex Road in Barangay Commonwealth that caught fire around 7 a.m.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said the boy’s body was “beyond recognition” when found by firemen in the house.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
