52 new COVID-19 cases reported among police personnel

(Eagle News)–Fifty-two additional COVID-19 cases have been reported among police personnel.

The Philippine National Police said the tally as  of Sept. 9. then is at 4837.

Twenty-two additional recoveries brought the total to 3359.

No deaths have been reported, which means the death toll remains at 16.

Suspect cases are at 3129, and probable cases at 735.

The police are among the country’s frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PNP has said it would continue to man quarantine checkpoints with Metro Manila under a less stringent general community quarantine.

Metro Manila is expected to remain as a GCQ area until the end of September.
