PNP’s Bato scores Kerwin Espinosa’s deal records

(Eagle News)– Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa received on Tuesday (September 13) documents illustrating suspected transactions of Eastern Visayas top drug personality Kerwin Espinosa.

The records were turned over by Albuera Leyte Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido.

The documents include cheques, notebooks, affidavits and list of Espinosa’s dealings.

The collected evidence also contain Espinosa’s suspected clients, protectors, and persons who benefited from his payroll.

It is estimated that about 200 personalities were linked to Kerwin, which were listed in three notebooks held by the police.

A pink notebook was also retrieved from Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa’s late lawyer– Rogelio Bato– and a white notebook from the family’s hotel business.

Rolando surrendered himself and sought police protection in August due to fear for his life.

Rolando revealed that police officers, congressmen and a senator were involved in his son’s drug activities.

The documents also name a governor, mayors, prosecutors, police generals and officers, soldiers, lawyers, officials from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and members of the media.
