Terrence Romeo briefly held in police station for questioning over QC brawl

(Eagle News)–Gilas player Terrence Romeo was briefly held at the police station after a a skirmish erupted outside a bar in Quezon City early Thursday.

The skirmish allegedly started after a fan tried to take a picture with Romeo.

“Una po, nakapagpapicture na kami kina Terrence. Pangalawa po, pauwi na kami, nagpapaalam po kami para magpapicture po ulit. Nagulat na lang po kami may bigla pong sumapak,” Clarissa Cabrera, wife of one of the victims, said in a radio interview.

Cabrera clarified however that Romeo did not start the fight.

The basketball player’s camp also denied the man who threw the first punch was their own.

Romeo has been released from the Quezon City Polic Station 10 after questioning.
