According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), 26 fishermen are still missing 2 days after “Kabayan” left the Philippine area of responsibility.
The NDRRMC records 4, 500 families were affected in the storm’s rampage in six provinces in Luzon with 1, 300 families staying in evacuation centers.
The NDRRMC added that the storm caused Php 1.2 billion worth of damages in property and infrastructure. On the other hand, PAGASA reported that two more storms will enter the Philippine area of responsibility for the month of October.
