(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, August 6, led the ceremonial turn-over of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in Malacanang.

In his speech, the President urged all Filipinos to support the BOL, saying that this law will help “preserve our bond as a single nation.”

“Let us work together as we continue the healing and reconciliation process,” he said as he called on Filipinos to “give this law a chance.”

He also asked “our Bangsamoro brothers” to actively participate in constructive discussions in villages and communities regarding BOL, and also encouraged them to “participate in this upcoming plebiscite.”

During Monday’s ceremony in Malacanang, Duterte presented the BOL to Bangsamoro Transition Commission chair, Ghadzali Jaafar, who also served as the vice-chair of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
