Philippine National Police Chief Ronald de la Rosa on Saturday said those who wish to topple President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration and the President himself would have to deal with him first.
“I tell you, you want to bring down Duterte administration? Over my dead body, giyera tayo, kung gusto niyo giyera,” Dela Rosa told reporters in an ambush interview with reporters.
Dela Rosa was a guest at the Philippine Military Academy alumni homecoming in Baguio City.
He said in the first place, they could not bring down the President, who has a trust rating of 83 percent.
“Manigas sila..,” he said.
Asked about the preliminary examination by the International Criminal Court of allegations against the drug war, Dela Rosa said they would be proven wrong.
“Makikita nila ang katotohanan, kung ano ang ginagawa natin,” he said.
