(Eagle News) — Lakas-CMD may make an alliance with Davao Mayor Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
“If we have the chance, why not?” Lakas-CMD’s Prospero Pichay, Surigao representative, said.
If this pushes through, Lakas-CMD, which was now-Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s party until she was sworn in as PDP-Laban member, would follow in the footsteps of the National Unity Party, the Nationalist People’s Coalition, and the Nacionalista Party.
These three parties forged an alliance with the HNP last week.
Senatorial bets
According to Pichay, their party has no final list of senatorial bets yet.
He said, however, that they could tap Martin Romualdez and former Senator Bong Revilla “if he can still run.”
Revilla is facing plunder charges in connection with the pork barrel scam.
“We haven’t decided yet,” he said.
