Palace condemns recent bombing in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat

(Eagle News)—The Palace on Monday, Sept. 3, condemned the second blast in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat that left at least one dead and several others injured.

“We strongly denounce the latest attack in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat..We are deeply saddened by the death of one innocent victim, per initial report, and pray for the swift recovery of those injured,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.

According to Roque, President Rodrigo Duterte, who is on a four-day official visit to Israel, “has been kept updated on all developments by the Philippine National Police..”

The police, for its part, he said, “has already ordered its men on the ground to increase visibility and patrol and tighten security.”

He urged the public to “report anything suspicious to the authorities as we bring to justice all culprits behind this dastardly attack.”

This is the second bombing in Isulan in recent days.

The first on Aug. 28 left at least three killed and several injured.

Authorities are eyeing the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters as behind the attacks.
