MAY 4 (Eagle News) — Thousands of fans of Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao who had trooped to the Philippine Arena and other venues in the Philippines to watch the much-hyped “fight of the century” were extremely disappointed with his loss to US boxing welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., and asked for a rematch.

Many of those interviewed believed that it was Pacquiao who had won, and chided Mayweather for his defensive and evasive running style.

Fans said that there should be a rematch between Pacquiao and Mayweather, as they believed the Filipino boxing champion was the real winner.

They said that the Philippine Arena could even be the venue for the rematch.

Among those who watched the fight at the 55,000-seater arena were members of the national rugby team, the Philippine Volcanoes.

Fans paid P150 each for a ticket at the Philippine Arena, and said the price was worth it.
