MRT-3 unloads passengers after train experiences “electrical motor failure”

(Eagle News)–Over 500 passengers were unloaded from a Metro Rail Transit 3 train on Thursday, Sept. 27, after it experienced electrical motor failure.

In an advisory, the MRT3 management said the 540 passengers were unloaded from the  train heading southbound at the Araneta Center Cubao station at 6:24 a.m.

The motor failure was due to worn-out electrical sub-components, the MRT-3 said.

The passengers were allowed to board the next train, which arrived five minutes later.
