(Eagle News)—The 30-month closure of the Estrella-Pantaleon bridge will begin on Saturday, Jan. 19, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Friday, Jan. 11.
According to MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia, the closure of the bridge to pave the way for its widening will begin at 4 a.m.
The closure was supposed to have pushed through in September but this was deferred following an outcry from motorists who frequently use the bridge to go to Mandaluyong from Makati and vice versa.
The MMDA advised motorists to use alternative routes, and to expect heavy traffic.
