LPG prices increase

(Eagle News) — The prices of cooking gas and auto liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased today, January 16.

LPG supplier Fiesta, Solane and Petron increased their cost by Php 1.12 per kilogram or Php 12.00 for a standard 11-kilogram tank.

Regasco on the other hand, will implement a price hike on Thursday, January 17.

LPGMA Partylist Rep. Arnel Ty said importers needed to implement additional taxes, as the old stocks of petroleum products had already been consumed.

Ty added another LPG price hike could be due next month due to the movement of prices in the international market.

He said LPG prices could increase by Php 1.00 to Php 2.00 or Php 11.00 to Php 12.00 for a standard 11-kilogram cylinder.
