QUEZON City, Philippines – The beauty queen from Quezon City, Maria Mika Maxine Medina was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas – Universe 2016, beating the front-runners of the said competition. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach formally passed the crown to Medina, who participated in the said competition for the first time.
