(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday, Aug. 9, pledged to allot P25 million for the expenses of policemen.
The President made the announcement in a speech during the 117th Police Service Anniversary celebration in Camp Crame.
“If it needs a very specialized (operation) at wala tayo na doktor…You just tell me. We can afford it,” he said.
He said policemen “do not have to beg there and steal or borrow,” and called on them not to engage in corruption.
“If you think that you cannot survive with the salary, then you are free to go,” he said.
