(Eagle News) – President Duterte pressed the creation of a one-stop shop for all Filipinos needing government services, including overseas Filipino workers.

“I want to make life more comfortable for you,” he said. “I hate Filipinos queuing under the heat of the sun and rain.”

Duterte said all the needed services to be provided by various government agencies, needed by the OFWs or other Filipinos needing to get a job, such as the services from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, National Statistics Office, Land Transportation Office, National Bureau of Investigation, and others, should be just in one building.

“Yan ang gusto ko one stop shop . Yan ang gusto kong mangyari, pati sa mga sailors natin,” he said amid the applause of hundreds of Filipinos working in Japan.

The President said he was also thinking of putting up a bank for OFWs.

He assured the OFWs in Japan to not be scared anymore when they go back to the Philippines.

He listed as the main problems of the country as “graft and corruption” and “illegal drugs.”

He also stressed that he wants to improve the Philippine economy so that the OFWs could return and just work in the Philippines.

OFWs advised to make a scene, if corrupt official accosts them —

Pag uwi nyo ng Pilipnias huwag na po kayong matakot. Don’t worry,” he said.

“Pag punta niyo ng Pilipinas, at may police, customs, immmigration at humihingi sa ‘yo ng pera, sampalin mo,” Duterte advised Filipinos in Japan.

The President advised the OFWs to make scene when this happens, to shout until other people will take notice.

“Sampalin mo, tapos you create a scene, magsigaw ka bastusin mo, marami namang media dyan,” he said.

“During my time, be assertive sa mga karapatan mo,” he said.

He said that if there will be a “tanim-bala” at the airport, the OFWs should tell the officials at the airport who will discover the bullet to just eat it, and then to also make a scene.

Duterte said in this way, the OFWs can help his government to weed out the corrupt people in government.
