(Eagle news) — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has ordered the suspension of five private emission testing centers (PETC) found to be falsifying emission tests results.
The suspension came after the department’s Investigation Security and Law Enforcement Staff (ISLES) conducted a thorough probe where the five emission testing centers were caught to have falsified test results or entered false information regarding tested vehicles.
The following were the emission testing centers which were suspended by the DOTr:
1. CSC Emission Test Center – Purok Malipayon, Zone IV, Libertad, Surallah, 9512, South Cotabato
2. AKZ Emission Testing Center – National Highway, Southern Paligue, Padada, 8007, Davao Del Sur
3. CSC Emission Test Center – National Highway, Tupi, 9505, South Cotabato
4. JaveChiat Emission Center – National Highway, Brgy. II, Sagay City, 6122, Negros Occidental
5. Eco Friendly Emission Test Center – Bulala, Camalaniugan, 3510, Cagayan
The suspension, which was effective for 90 working days, started this January 11.
The DOTr also said the suspension order was also sent to the IT service provider of the companies, which shall be subject to the same penalties should it disregard the said order by continuing to process any data transmitted by the testing centers.
