DFA lists areas where consular services are suspended due to “Ompong”

(Eagle News) — Consular services in areas which may be affected by Typhoon “Ompong” have been suspended today, Sept. 14.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said the operations in the following areas were suspended:

  • Angeles, Pampanga
  • Calasiao, Pangasinan
  • San Fernando, Pampanga
  • San Fernando, La Union
  • Santiago, Isabela
  • San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte
  • Tuguegarao, Cagayan

According to the DFA,  “applicants with confirmed passport appointments on those dates when the operations were suspended will be accommodated on later dates which will be announced once the consular office reopens.”

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Ompong” would make landfall in Cagayan on Saturday.
