(Eagle News) — Edsa has a new traffic czar.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority General Manager Jojo Garcia named Bong Nebrija to the post to help ease vehicular congestion in one of Metro Manila’s major thoroughfares.
Prior to his new assignment, Nebrija was head of the MMDA’s Task Force for Special Operations.
As chief of that unit, Nebrija had been actively going around the metropolis to clamp down on vendors illegally selling on sidewalks and on illegally parked vehicles, at times arguing with individuals who refuse to follow rules and regulations.
Garcia has called Nebrija a “good” and “dedicated” man.
Nebrija replaces Chief Traffic Inspector Rodolfo Calpito as head of the traffic unit.
