Alvarez hits CHR Chair Gascon for refusing to resign

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — House of Representatives Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez criticized Commission on Human Rights Chair Chito Gascon  for refusing to resign even after the House of Representatives gave the CHR a Php 1,000 budget.

Alvarez said that Gascon is holding on his position even if he is not able to do his duties.

On the other hand, Alvarez said that there will be no conflict between the House of Representatives and Senate in the bicameral committee after the Senate said that it will return the proposed Php 649. 48 million budget of the CHR.
