(Eagle News)—-Fifty one percent of Filipinos support a mandatory drug testing for Grade 4 students and older, a Social Weather Stations survey said.
According to the Third Quarter 2018 Social Weather Survey fielded from September 15 to 23, of the 51% who agreed, 31% strongly agree and 20% somewhat agree.
Thirty six percent disagreed (24% strongly disagree, 12% somewhat disagree), and 13% are undecided about the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency proposal, the survey said.
According to the SWS, this yields a net agreement of +15, which SWS classifies as moderately strong.
Net agreement was highest in the Visayas, at +47, classified as very strong.
This was followed by Mindanao at +25, or moderately strong; Metro Manila at a moderately strong +17; and Balance Luzon at a neutral -6.
According to the survey, 76% were satisfied with the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs, and only 12% were dissatisfied, for a net satisfaction rating of +64, classified by SWS as very good.
The SWS said this was 1 point below the very good +65 (78% satisfied, 13% dissatisfied) in June 2018.
It said it was also similar to the very good +64 in March 2018.
