Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid today, June 10

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Monday, June 10.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves are less than the required minimum levels, is in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Available capacity is at 11,781 megawatts, while peak demand is at 11,100 MW.

“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.
