QUEZON City, Philippines – The House of Representatives is satisfied with the hearing conducted by the House Committee on Justice on the alleged illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison and will no longer conduct further hearings on the matter.
According to Oriental Mindoro Representative Reynaldo Umali, the past hearings already established the proliferation of illegal drug syndicates in the NBP and that the personnel of the Bureau of Corrections and the NBP should be put under lifestyle check.
