(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte is slated to visit the wake of Rep. Rodel Batocabe, who was killed in Albay over the weekend.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the visit would take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26.
Batocabe was gunned down as he was about to board his vehicle from a gift-giving activity in Daraga.
His bodyguard was also killed.
The police said they were eyeing at least six suspects.
The National Bureau of Investigation has joined the investigation, saying that based on initial information, the killing was “likely politically motivated.”
