CARMEN, North Cotabato (Eagle News) – A barangay chair and a barangay tanod were killed in what police said could be a politically motivated attack in Cotabato province on Tuesday.

Supt. Bernard Tayong, spokesperson of the Cotabato Police Provincial Office, said Barangay Tonganon chair Juaquin Segumban, 56, and Joey Gamotia, 57, were on board a multicab and were on their way to Barangay Poblacion from Carmen when the suspects fired at them in Sitio Galay, Barangay Kibayao, at 2:30 p.m.
