Aguirre: Ex-DOJ Usec Baraan left PHL before start of House inquiry

(Eagle News)– Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Thursday (October 6) revealed that former Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan III has already left the country even before the House started its probe on the proliferation of drugs inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

Aguirre said the House-issued subpoena for Baraan was not received by Baraan since he has already left on August 25.

The House of Representatives inquiry started on September 20 and is still ongoing.

Baraan is included in the drug matrix released by President Rodrigo Duterte, which also tagged Senator Leila De Lima.
