Aguirre says DOJ has no copy of Marcos compromise agreement

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has no copy of the proposed compromise agreement between the Marcos family and the government submitted by Atty. Oliver Lozano.

“That has not been tackled in the Cabinet. I could not say anything about it because I have never seen it yet,” Aguirre told reporters in a press conference.

Aguirre added that he cannot make an action yet on the compromise agreement without an order from President Rodrigo Duterte.

“We received no instruction from any higher ups about it. In other words, we are completely ignorant about it,” he maintained.
