(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Samar on Saturday, the Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology said.
PHIVOLCS said the quake hit 56 kilometers northeast of San Policarpo at 3:45 a.m.
The depth of focus of the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, was at 5 kilometers.
There were no reported aftershocks.
