4.8-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Thursday

(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, July 27.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:47 a.m.

The epicenter was 98 kilometers southwest of Balut Island.

The depth of focus was 18 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
