(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Saturday, June 8.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves do not meet required minimum levels, is in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m., and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Available capacity was at 10762 megawatts while peak demand was at 10166 MW.
The cause of the alert will be explained by the Department of Energy later in the day.
