(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has named the wife of former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro as the Philippines’ representative to the United Nations Children’s Fund.
Based on the appointment paper dated March 7, Monica Prieto Teodoro’s term will last for a year–from September 26, 2017 to September 27, 2018.
The female Teodoro served as Tarlac 1st District representative from 2007 to 2010.
Her husband, who was defense secretary from 2007 to 2009, was offered the post again under President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration, but he declined.
