WATCH: Interview with OWWA Administrator Cacdac: Mata ng Agila – June 4, 2021

 

In this interview in the NET25 program, Mata ng Agila , on Friday, June 4, Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) chief Hans Leo Cacdac explains the newly approved rule that those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Philippines only need to be quarantined for seven days, instead of the previous 10 days, in an isolation facility in the country.

He also said that so far, there are around 570,000 OFWs who have already returned to the country.  He estimated that around 1,200 t0 1,300 OFWs arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport every day.

Cacdac said that some P1.2 billion in supplemental funding out of the P5 billion allocation for the quarantine expenses of the OFWs had already come in from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM)
