MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Vice President Leni Robredo will be even more critical of certain policies of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration, according to her spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez.
In an interview, Hernandez said that Robredo’s supporters should expect her to be even more critical Duterte’s policies after her resignation as the chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
“Makakaasa tayo na ang boses ni VP Leni ay magiging mas malakas tungkol sa mga bagay na hindi rumerespeto sa karapatang pantao lalung lalo na sa mga issue ng EJK (extrajudicial killings),” Hernandez said.
Hernandez also said that the Vice President will continue to oppose Duterte’s push for the revival of the death penalty to deter crime, the rise of the extra-judicial killings and the burial of late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
