Voting in San Carlos, Negros Occidental, peaceful

QUEZON City, Philippines – The official ballots were released in 4:30 in the morning. At around 5:30 AM, the ballot boxes were sealed and the vote-counting machines were initialized by the Board of Inspectors and poll-watchers. At exactly 6 in the morning, the polling precincts were opened to the voters with a special lane for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and pregnant women. Although there were incidents of paper jams in the VCMs, the BEI were able to resolve the issue promptly.
