Use of fireworks on New Year’s eve celebrations to be regulated

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The use of fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices on New Year’s eve will not be totally prohibited but will be regulated.

This is in relation to Executive Order No. 28, signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

According to Supt. Rolando Vilela, display fireworks like “lusis” and fountains can be used in the houses’ front yards if the local government units concerned will allow this in the community

But stronger fireworks such as “sinturon ni Hudas” will be restricted to designated areas.
