United States Ambassador to the Philippines, Philip Goldberg said that the US is looking into the possibility of conducting joint patrols in the disputed territories in the West Philippine Sea.
Goldberg added that it has always been the principle of the US to ensure the freedom of navigation in the West Philippine Sea and that said proposed joint patrol has nothing to do with the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) between the Philippines and the US.
