Two LPAs, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers to M. Manila, other areas

(Eagle News)–Two low pressure areas are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers to Metro Manila and other areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said apart from Metro Manila,  CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula will have these conditions due to the LPA embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone 180 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte and the LPA within the ITCZ 150 kilometers northwest of Zamboanga City.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley will have
cloudy skies with light rains due to the
northeast monsoon affecting Northern
Luzon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Isolated flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.
