(Eagle News) — Senator Antonio Trillanes IV urged Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. to stay away from social media and to focus first on his job as the country’s top diplomat.
Trillanes gave the “unsolicited advice” after Locsin said the Department of Foreign Affairs former passport maker, Oberthur Technologies, made away with passport applicants’ data, then later clarified the data was merely “made inaccessible.”
The National Privacy Commission has, however, launched a probe into the matter.
The Palace also asked the DFA, Oberthur and the Presidential Communications and Operations Office to explain the alleged passport data mess.
“Sa akin focus muna siya sa trabaho niya. It can consume him eh,” Trillanes said.
