Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Kalinga, particularly in Balbalan and Tanudan, within 30 minutes to an hour.

The same conditions, PAGASA said, are being experienced over Conner in Apayao, Banna and Nueva Era in Ilocos Norte, Pinukpuk and Tabuk in Kalinga, and in Barlig, Natonin and Paracelis in the Mt. Province.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.

“Residents along mountain slopes are advised for possible landslides and flashfloods,” it added.
