Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Surigao del Norte and South Cotabato within one to two hours.

The same conditions are being experienced in Zamboanga del Norte,   R.T.Lim and Ipil in Zamboanga Sibugay; Talakag, Lantapan, Manolo Fortich, Malaybalay, Valencia and Cabanglasan in Bukidnon; in Agusan del Norte; Esperanza, San Luis, Sibagat, Bayugan, La Paz, Loreto in Agusan del Sur; Cantilan, Carrascal and Surigao del Sur; Davao de Oro; New Corella, Tagum, Carmen, Panabo in Davao del Norte; Lanao del Norte;  Marawi, Kapai and Bubong in Lanao del Sur; Lebak, Kalamansig, Sen. Aquino, Columbio in Sultan Kudarat; and in D.B.Sinsuat, South Upi and Datu Paglas in Maguindanao.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
