(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Misamis Occidental and Zamboanga Sibugay within one to two hours.
These conditions are being experienced in Zamboanga del Norte; Bukidnon; Misamis Oriental; Lanao del Norte; Lanao del Sur; Agusan del Norte; Agusan del Sur; Davao City; Laak, New Corella, Tagum, Carmen, Panabo in Davao del Norte; Mawab, Maco, Mabini, Maragusan, New Bataan in Davao de Oro; Banaybanay and Lupon in Davao Oriental; Upi, South Upi, Shariff Aguak in Maguindanao; Lebak, Kalamansig, Esperanza, Tacurong, Sen Aquino, Bagumbayan in Sultan Kudarat; Antipas, Arakan, Magpet, Banisilan, Alamada in North Cotabato; General Santos, Lake Sebu, T’Boli, Polomolok in South Cotabato; and in Malungon, Alabel in Sarangani.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
