Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over M. Manila, other areas

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Metro Manila and other areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said heavy to intense rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Quezon City, Caloocan, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Manila, Paranaque and Las Piñas in Metro Manila; in Bacoor, Imus, Dasmarinas in Cavite; in  San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Pandi, Plaridel, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, San Rafael, San Ildefonso in Bulacan; in Candaba, Mabalacat, Angeles, Porac, San Simon in Pampanga; in San Jose in Tarlac; in Lobo, Rosario, San Juan, Taysan in Batangas; in Cabuyao, Calamba, Santa Rosa in Laguna; and in Zambales.

PAGASA said these conditions may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

Moderate to  heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds, on the other hand, are expected over Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Rizal, and Quezon within the next two hours.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
