(Eagle News)– The 10 policemen and two barangay watchmen who figured in the “misencounter” in Mandaluyong City have been ordered detained.
This was after the filing of homicide and frustrated homicide complaints against the policemen from the Mandaluyong Police and Wilmer Doron and Ernesto Fajardo over the deaths of Jonalyn Anilao and Jomar Hayawun.
Anilao and Hayawun were killed on December 28 after the policemen and Doron and Fajardo fired at the vehicle they were on, in the belief it carried the suspect in another shooting incident in the city.
The group in the vehicle at that time was on its way to bring Anilao, who had been injured in the shooting incident, to the hospital.
The policemen have been ordered relieved since the incident.
