Suspected Pakistani terrorist arrested in Zamboanga City

(Eagle News) — A suspected Pakistani terrorist was arrested in Zamboanga City on Tuesday, June 18.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said on Wednesday, June 19, that Waqar Ahmad, 36, a suspected member of Daulah Islamiyah, was nabbed for violating immigration laws by working as a storekeeper in his uncle’s appliance store.

The arrest was made possible after a surveillance of the store.

“He will be deported as his presence here is inimical to national security,” Morente added.

Ahmad arrived in the country on April 19. Moira Encina
