Suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits free abducted head teacher from Sulu

(Eagle News) — Suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits have freed a head teacher they abducted from a Sulu school on Thursday morning.

Authorities said Marjorie Abdul, the head teacher of Liang Elementary School in Patikul, was released on the same day, around 11 p.m.

They said this was after Abdul’s family paid an unspecified amount for her release.

Abdul was inside her office when the suspects barged in and forcibly took her around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
