Surigao City quake causes more than Php 100 million damage

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or NDRRMC estimated that the damage to infrastructure caused by the magnitude 6.7 earthquake that struck Surigao City had already reached Php 108.45 million.

The NDRRMC added that 1, 034 houses were damaged by the earthquake while 155 houses were considered totally damaged.

The NDRRMC is sending additional tents for the housing needs of the residents as well as water purification units.
