(Eagle News) – Typhoon Yutu which has recently brought destruction to Marianas Islands has now entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and was named “Rosita,” the country’s weather bureau, PAGASA said.
As of 10 a.m. Saturday, October 27, “Rosita” was located at 1,345 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (17.6 °N, 134.3 °E ), moving west at 20 kilometers per hour.
It has maximum sustained winds of 200 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 245 kph.
PAGASA said that as of Sunday morning, it is forecast to be 905 km East of Aparri, Cagayan(17.9°N, 130.2°E). By Monday morning, it will be nearer the country, 545 km East of Aparri.
As of today, there is no tropical warning signal hoisted over the country.
