(Eagle News) – The effect of Southwest Monsoon, locally known as “Habagat” has weakened over the country, with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms only expected over certain parts of the country.

Metro Manila will experience partly cloudy skies on Thursday, July 4. In the afternoon, there could be isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, PAGASA said in this morning’s weather forecast.

Light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will still prevail over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan and Palawan today, PAGASA said.

As of 3 a.m. Thursday, PAGASA spotted a low pressure area estimated at 520 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City in South Cotabato.

Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by the trough of the LPA.
