Solon proposes probe over De Lima’s links in Bilibid stabbing

(Eagle News)– Kabayan Rep. Harry Roque Jr. on Wednesday (September 28) proposed to probe Senator Leila De Lima if she has anything to do with the riot inside New Bilibid Prison (NBP) which wounded high-profile inmate Jaybee Sebastian and killed convicted drug lord Tony Co.

“There are forces that would want to prevent Jaybee Sebastian from testifying in Congress to look into whether Leila de Lima is involved in the affairs in Muntinlupa,” Roque said in a press conference.
Sebastian, who was rumored as the one who pooled money for De Lima’s campaign for the Senate, was stabbed along with Chinese drug lords Peter and Tony Co and as well as high-profile inmate Vicente Sy.
Peter was in critical condition while Sebastian was already stable.
Vicente Sy was injured and rushed to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa.
In an earlier statement, De Lima denied any involvement in the stabbing incident.

Ano na naman implication nila, kagagawan ko na naman yan? Inaapi tapos ganyan pa gagawin nila? Lahat na lang sinisisi nila sa akin, and they call themselves men?” De Lima stressed.
De Lima allegedly benefited from the illegal drug trade inside NBP in the form of earnings eventually used in her campaign last May elections. (RF Salvador, Eagle News Service)
