(Eagle News)–A Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal has been hoisted over four areas as Tropical Depression “Samuel” moved west northwestward and maintained its strength.
As of 4 a.m., the center of “Samuel” was 660 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, prompting the Signal No. 1 over the province, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte and Dinagat Island.
A Signal No. 1 may also be raised over Southern Leyte and Eastern Samar.
Moderate to heavy rains may prevail over Caraga Region, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, Southern Leyte, Bohol , Camiguin and Misamis Oriental.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration advised fisherfolk not to venture out over areas under Signal No. 1 and the eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao.
